Fall is almost here? Where did summer go?

We had a fantastic summer.  I was so busy with the boys.  Last summer, it was difficult for me, having a new baby and a toddler, but this summer, we made the most of it!

Highlights?

  • We went on lots of playdates!
  • Nicholas had gymnastics class at Bounce for 10 weeks!
  • Christopher learned to climb and he loves playing with Nicholas (we’re not  sure if Nicholas loves playing with Christopher! LOL!)
  • My photography business is flourishing
  • We’re remodeling the studio
  • I went on my first vacation without the boys and Nick, ever, to see my dear friend Cheree in Bowling Green, KY.  Can you believe that we have only two photos of us together?  It was amazing to meet her in person, and get to know her and her wonderful family.  I had so much fun with her kids and I look forward to being able to ‘hang out’ with MY boys like we did with hers.

  • Nicholas is starting preschool in less than 2 weeks.  He can start preschool b/c he’s potty trained.  We went on a playdate, and he decided he didn’t want to wear diapers anymore.  So he decided.  We’re still working through some accident issues, but for the most part, he’s doing well!
  • We got through our rough month.  August is always difficult for us.  I decided that this year, rather than dwell on what happened to us and what we were doing when our world changed, that we’d focus on how much we have in our lives to be thankful for.  Losing our girls was the single-most difficult thing I’ve ever had to endure, but I’m thankful for it’s made me realize that life is short, and not to take things for granted.

Well, that’s all for now.  I have to get back to work!  Client sessions to post!
